Procrastinators come in all shapes and sizes. You can recognise the different types by the things they say, the choices they make, and the behaviour they display. Only once you know where your procrastination comes from and which type you are can you start working in a targeted way to tackle it.
This self-test tells you more about the type of procrastinator you are. You will get to know your own type: the Workhorse, the Overthinker, the Stress Junkie, the Superhuman, or the Dreamer.
This test contains 25 statements related to procrastination behaviour.
Only tick the statements you identify with: the situations and phrases where you think “Yes, that’s how it goes for me” or “Yes, that’s something I would say”.
Immediately after the list of statements, you will find an overview of types: which statement belongs to which type? In general, people have one dominant procrastinator type, but there is almost always a mix to be seen. This means you are not exclusively type 2 or exclusively type 3 — you likely have several types within you.
Based on your results, make a note of what type(s) of procrastinator you are, so you can take a focused look at your profile. More information about the five types can be found in the next part of the training. This typology is partly based on the book It’s About Time by Linda Sapadin (Penguin Books, 1997). If you fill in your name and email address at the bottom (optional), you will not only see your results on screen but also receive them in your inbox.
